Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and SmartMilan (legal entity name to be added). By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy.

1. Who can use SmartMilan

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Candidates must be of legal marriageable age in India: 21 for men, 18 for women.
• You may create a profile for a family member only with the intention of seeking their consent; it is listed only after they confirm.
• SmartMilan is for genuine matrimonial purposes only. Dating, commercial or other uses are not allowed.

2. Your responsibilities

• Provide true and accurate information, and keep it up to date.
• Use only photos of the candidate that you have the right to share.
• Keep your OTPs private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Use contact details you receive only to discuss a possible match, and never share them with others.

3. What is not allowed

• Fake, misleading or duplicate profiles, or impersonating someone else.
• Profiles of people who are already married (unless divorced or widowed and stated as such), or who are under age.
• Harassment, abusive or obscene content, or discrimination beyond stated personal preferences.
• Asking for money, gifts or financial details from other members.
• Scraping, bulk messaging, advertising, or using the service for a marriage bureau business without our agreement.

4. Our role

SmartMilan is a platform that helps families find and connect with each other. We do not arrange marriages, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of information members provide or the outcome of any match. Please verify details independently and follow our safety tips.

5. Moderation and termination

We may review, hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, with or without notice where safety requires it. You can close your account at any time.

6. Fees

SmartMilan is free at launch. If we introduce paid features, their prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SmartMilan is not liable for indirect losses, or for the conduct of members on or off the platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at the place of our registered office, after first trying to resolve them through our grievance process.
